In the sourceforge zsh page
http://sourceforge.net/projects/zsh/
the Download link points to zsh-5.0.7-doc.tar.bz2
(i.e., not the source but the documentation).
"Looking for the latest version?" also points to doc.tar.bz2.

Yes, this has been a nuisance for several releases now. Sourceforge
randomly guesses what the latest version is from what you've recently
uploaded, and doesn't give you a way of correcting it. Sometimes it's
possible to re-upload the version you want to make it point to, but
immediately after the last release I tried that and it failed.
Somebody else is welcome to see what it is I've missed that's staring
them in the face.

In the following documentation,
http://sourceforge.net/p/forge/documentation/Files/
near the end of the section "Using the Web Interface":
"Default download for" controls which file is the recommended download
for visitors, based on their OS. If not set for any file in the project,
heuristics are used to automatically pick a recent upload with an
appropriate file extension for the OS.
Can you access this Web Interface?

I've found it --- if you click on the "i" button next to a file in the
file manager, there are some icons at the bottom right which you tick to
make it a default download.
