Hi,
While looking into the zsh/zselect module and reading the man page info,
there is
a reference to system "select" for more information and is noted as
"select(3)". I
can not find any reference to select being is section "3". My linux system
shows
select as being in section "2" of the man pages. System select is also
referenced
in zsh/zftp but there it is noted correctly as "select(2)".

Not really, but you'll definitely have been told if the patch was
rejected. Otherwise if nobody commits it right away, it would be
expected to get swept up right before the next release (which we
should probably think about doing soon).
