Hi all,

I have a couple of newer HPs available to play with, so I would give
the bitsy port a try. Are there some chances to get the plan9 port
running on these newer IPAQs?

The models in question include H4100, H5100, and H5400.

Are there any caveats I should be aware of? Since the last two
models run XScale processors I am not sure if they can be used.

I have some time the next days (weeks?) to play with these devices,
I would be grateful for any hints.

Thanks,

Christian

The ARM compilers work for XScale but we do not have anything specific
for handling the different peripherals in these other models as far as
I can tell. Are there versions of Linux available for these models?

Inferno, Linux source code for these, and ask me (or Forsyth) if you
have any questions on ARM in general.

Hello hello!

I have been thinking about an hp2210 port. There is plenty of documentation
avaliable from the lunix port. AFAIK HP has been very colaborative with OSS
projects so if you need any specs probably you will get them.

Right now I have some other drivers on the queue but I'll take some time to
see if there is any common hardware I could help with.

Good luck!

Yes as far as I can tell from handhelds.org. If I am lucky I will
find some devices that are usable to some extend. I assume the
procedure as shown on the wiki is still valid. I also hope that
I can substitute RS232 for USB in the descriptions, since these have
just USB cradles...

Thank you very much,

Christian
