Got some spare UNIX machines lying around. Was wondering where I
could find information on using them for Plan9 ?? Tried to install it
on my PC, but my IDE controller is not supported, and the old PC has
this annoying IRQ conflict that won't go away, and causes problems
installing...

On the Plan 9 update download page, available through
http://plan9.bell-labs.com/plan9
I have placed a gzipped tar file. It contains the Release 2 sources
for the Sun kernels, plus some relevant supporting information. The
package is probably only useful if you're interested in using it as a
starting point for a Release 3 port to the Suns.
(After a lot of archaeology and some outside help, we finally
established we have permission to release this information. We
haven't established that yet for the SGI Challenge.)
Enjoy, and keep us posted.

Ok, my interest is piqued. I'll play with it :)
Thanks for the info.
