i find it less distracting to have a less distracting scrollbar,
without all the distracting bits and bobs,
and then it can stay on the left! i hardly notice it under plan 9
until i need it.
it also seems to make more sense, or perhaps
look better, i'd say, in acme for the scrollbar
to sit on the right, since it can also marks the frame edge.
