Hi,

I have put a copy of my cifs client in
/n/sources/steve/cifs.tar.bz2

It mostly works mut needs a load more testing
against different servers.

I have fixed a couple of minor bugs and added a
few more psudo files which can help debug problems.

Finally I would like to appologise for my outburst
agains CIFS the other day. We all have legacy code
that we need to support and Microsoft have done much
to help third part developers understand its wrinkles
in recent years.

(Share and) Enjoy.

-Steve

well, hmm.

let's suppose we have Xen working so we have virtual machines. (I'm up to
the boot prompt ... just need to get the network driver going).

You could build an audio server OS, and a bluetooth server OS, etc. and
then connect them as servers. So no drivers in that sense.

modload? no modload. When a new device is added, you fire up an OS to run
it. Plan 9 has the ideal protocol to support this.

Xen muxing of an OS is as efficient (almost) as OS muxing of processes.
It's not vmware.

Could be interesting ...

ron
