When boot the pc64 terminals, it's longer than the pc kernel on the same machine.
What the pc64 kernel doning more task to make it longer?

this is too unspecific to answer. it could be as simple as the kernel
file size to complicated as cache misses...

what times are we talking about? seconds? minutes?

Sorry, my question was the delay time after pc64 kernel booting,
such as after 
init: starting /bin/rc,
or
after the initial vga display and before rio start.
After rio start, there is no such delay.
