I'm fairly new to newsguy, only a few months. It has never been what I
would call blazingly fast, so its hard for me to make comparisons. It is
slower than my mediaone server, but that is a mere 6 hops away from my gate
with 4ms latency bewteen hops whereas enews.newsguy.com is 14 hops away
with latency of around 65-70ms per hop across AT&T and and a big 100ms hop
from appliedtheory.net to the newsguy server.
