hello Gnus users,
since the update to Debian 10, emacs 26.1 (emacs_26.1+1-3.2 with many
Debian patches) crashes in X mode (X11 error, -nw works fine) seemingly
random (i.e. when selecting mails or Ctrl-1 in summary buffer). Here is
the terminal output:
$ emacs
X protocol error: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error) on protocol request 139
Fatal error 6: Aborted
Backtrace:

Abgebrochen
Does anyone else have this problem?
Could this be related to wayland (compatibility layer)?
I will try with a plain (unpatched) emacs-26.2 next.
Thanks and Best Regards,

Thatʼs a symptom of issues with certain fonts, which is resolved in
26.2 (although 26.3 just came out as well).

Sorry for the late answer. Thanks, yes, 26.3 works fine.
