I have the IMAP server cyrus.andrew.cmu.edu defined in the following
manner:
	(setq gnus-secondary-select-methods
	      '((nnimap "cyrus.andrew.cmu.edu"
			(nnimap-authenticator anonymous)
			(nnimap-list-pattern "archive.*")
			(nnimap-stream network))
		))

All groups on this server are defined to be on level 3. Nevertheless
Gnus makes a connection to this server (which may be very slow), when
I do an `1 g' or a `2 g'.

Is there a way to avoid this connection?

Thanx!

I think that because it is in gnus-secondary-select-method the only
way to avoid the connections is to go into the *Server* buffer and
explicitly deny it.
