Does anyone have a sample configuration of a web group which is listed
with all the other groups in the Group buffer?

I would like to be able to define some web groups based on dejanews
searches which remain persistently listed with the NNTP groups.  I've
successfully used G w to perform these searches and generate a summary
buffer, but the generated group is not maintained longer than one
session.

Lets see.. I asked this once before, and received a good answer, don't
remember it though.. :-)

I wonder if it wasn't something like create a foreign group based on
the nnweb backend.. 

G m nameofgroup<enter>nnweb<enter>

And then modify the group parameters and add the following variables
found on the nnweb info-page.

`nnweb-type'
     What search engine type is being used.  The currently supported
     types are `dejanews', `altavista' and `reference'.

`nnweb-search'
     The search string to feed to the search engine.

`C-u G w' will create a solid nnweb group.
