Hi,

I want to read NNTP using secondary-select-methods:

(setq gnus-secondary-select-methods '((nntp "news.site.com" )))

instead of accessing that server as a foreign server. Mainly because
then I can see new newsgroups as they are created on the server.

However, if I do that, gnus attempts to connect to it even in
unplugged mode. Is this a bug?

Cheers,

Max.

Did you enroll the server in the agent programme?

It was. I just checked in a patch to gnus-open-server.

Kevin

No -- servers are unplugged one by one. You can have one server
unplugged while you have several on-line servers. If you want Gnus
to become totally unplugged, you have to enrol all the servers into
the Agent.
