Hi all,

I have encountered a couple of websites where the g command fails to
activate a link using the 3.6.0 release on archlinux.

An easy site to test is: www.georgehowe.com

Line 5 of that site says: * {Sign in} or {Create an account}

Neither g1 nor g2 has any effect there, although g without the numeral
gives the expected warning.  Is this a known type of failure?

same behaviour here on debian jessie : no effect with g1 ou g2

This "failure" mode has been with us for a long time,
off and on under different circumstances.
It probably should be accompanied by better error messages, or something.
The link has javascript code attach, via onclick,
and that code does not run properly,
so edbrowse does not follow on to the link.
Type js to disable javascript and it works.

Whenever a g command doesn't seem to do anything,
try it with js off.

Of course I will take some time to see what goes
wrong with the js in this case.
That would be good to know.

This now works properly.
If a handler is "" I treat it as "return true" so that edbrowse will proceed.
The onclick="" is accepted now.
