POP SSL conexion failed

I am getting this error a few times a day. Any ideas?

It never occurred when using pop.el with SSL support¹.

It looks like this is a bug in GNUTLS.

I spoke too soon. After upgrading Gnutls to 1.6.3 this problem still
occurs. It looks like a bug in tls.el.

Just for interest, have you confirmed that the server is accessible?

telnet <POP server name or IP address> 995

then, supposing you get connected:

USER <account name> 

PASS <your password>

LIST
