### System Info

Void 6.6.18_1 x86_64 AuthenticAMD notuptodate rrrrmdDDFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

kicad-8.0.0_1

### Does a report exist for this bug with the project's home (upstream) and/or another distro?

None. This is not reproducible with the flatpak build of KiCad.

### Expected behaviour

### Actual behaviour

Unable to interact with the pcbnew main view. It does not redraw until I switch to another window.

Eeschema does not seem to be affected.

### Steps to reproduce

1. Open pcbnew
2. attempt to interact with the main view, e.g. pan (middle-click drag)
