Description:
Hi,

I posted the issue that the obs's virtual cam was not detected by Signal-Desktop in https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Desktop/issues/5559, and they have disowned the issue because they do not support Void!

I would like to draw the attention of @julio641742 who maintains the Signal-Desktop Void package. Thanks!

Hi, I use OBS virtual web cam on my void laptop for other stuff. But haven't tried signal yet. I'll give a shot reproducing the issue.

@zenny are you using x or Wayland right now?

OBS Virtual Webcam is working for me on Signal, however I'm having issues packaging the latest release of Signal. I will test it again and open a PR for the update.

In my case using Xorg-Xserver, the virtual camera is not detected by  Signal still, any clue appreciated!

Can you check to make sure the v4l2 and  v4l2loopback modules are loaded? I know that was probably your first step but better safe than sorry
