Thanks Jim, your version worked fine, too.

Now I know there are many variants of Stealth VRAM cards
from Diamond. Mine was only $28. ^_^

When I changed the line
ramdac=tvp3026-175
to
ramdac=tvp3026-220,
the cursor freesed.
Is this the difference between vclkphs=1 or not?

Kenji

This time, I turned off the PC, and wait 10 secs, then, rebooted.
No problems found!

sorry, your new database works fine also to -220 version.

That change in itself should do nothing, it only sets an upper limit
on the clock you are allowed to use in a monitor entry; if the monitor
entry says 'clock=135' it shouldn't make any difference.

The ways in which the S3 968 and TVP3026 can be configured together
vary between boards and there are some tweaks available if you look in
/sys/src/cmd/aux/vga/vision968.c ('disa1sc=1' is one of the tweaks).
If the cursor hangs reliably with the new database entry even after
a clean reboot, I'd just go back to the one that works.

Oops, that should have been 220MHz above for 1800x1350.

For a very long time, every card Diamond made was a 'Stealth something-or-other'
and it was very confusing. Here's the entry I have for the Stealth 64 Video VRAM:

ctlr
	0xC0045="Stealth 64 Video VRAM Vers. 1.01"
	0xC0045="Stealth 64 Video VRAM Vers. 1.06"
	0xC0045="Stealth 64 Video VRAM Vers. 2.02"
	link=vga
	ramdac=tvp3026-175
	ctlr=vision968 link=ibm8514 linear=1 vclkphs=1
	link=s3clock clock=tvp3026clock
	hwgc=tvp3026hwgc

Note I've only ever seen a card with a DAC rated up to 175MHz. With 200MHz
you should be able to get 1600x1200 and even 1800x1350 if the monitor allows.

I found a strange Video card in second-hand market
in Osaka, which has two large LSI on the card with
2MB VRAM(?) (NEC D482234LE-70x8).  The S3 chip
is written as S3 Vision 968(IABE3) 86C968-P, and
another DAC chip is TVP3026-220PCE. This card is
named as Diamond Stealth 64 v2.08.

My VGADB, I believe I've patched all, did not recognize
this card after change of identification line.
After struggling a bit, I now realized the following
setting leads me up tp 1376x1024x8 .(I've not tested
1600, because I have 17" monitor :-))

ctlr
	0xC0045="Stealth 64 Video VRAM Vers. 2.08"
	link=vga
	ramdac=tvp3026-220
	ctlr=vision968 linear=1 disalsc=1
	link=ibm8514
	link=s3clock clock=tcp3026clock
	hwgc=tvp3026hwgc

This card has a signature "Made in USA, 1995".
What the name of this card?

Kenji
