9 heavy cases of mugs. All the cases are marked with "COW" (in
Norwegian).

The packaging didn't arrive, though, so I'll have to check what's up
with that. If I get the packaging tomorrow, I'll send out all the
ones I have, or on Wednesday.

They kinda look like what I wanted them to look like. :-) Except that
the thin horizontal lines have gone missing. Oh, well. I toyed with
the idea of removing them anyway. Perhaps I can get them reinstated
on the batch after Xmas. We'll see.

Apologies to the list if this bit has already been discussed, but what
does the "In a cloud bones of steel" quote refer to? There's a date
span below it as a clue, but I'm stumped.
Also, it hit me a couple of days ago (months too late) that the Gnus
logo actually spells something ("Gnus", perhaps? ;> ). Or am I just
seeing things? The 'G' looks reasonably clear, maybe an 'n' in the
front legs, but the trailing 'u' and 's' harder to get. Are they the
two upper curves of the back and hind legs? Surely this is documented
somewhere, right?

Answering part of my own question, I found an old Lars post explaining
that the quote comes from the poem "The Bridge" by Charles
Reznikoff. [1]
  The second question remains open.

It doesn't just come from the poem, it is the poem.

The date below it is the lifespan of Charles Reznikoff, who wrote the
poem above.
