I am sorry if I did not make myself clear: I was not trying to say anything about Core, nor Jane Street, nor you!
My point is, I am scared by internet dictators, and, whether or not Core is a great library, I believe that no one, except maybe its authors, should have the right to remove it from this fantastic open public space that the internet is, and prevent its distribution. This is also what scares me when "github-friendly" is given as an argument for something.

ps: IMHO, as one of its occasional users, Core *is* a great library. Thanks for sharing this colossal and amazing amount of work, Yaron.
